How would I describe "engagement"? I guess when I think of this word I imagine children having fun with what they are doing. They are focused on the task at hand and cant be easily distracted due to their interest in what they are doing. There shouldnt be a sense of boredom. When planning lessons I try to ensure student engagement by trying to include games or other types of activities that would make them interested. This is easier with some skills and harder with others but I try when I can.
