I believe what is most exciting about Agriculture is it is never the same and continues to change. The technology continues to grow and move forward. I am fortunate to be able to share this new technology that plays into the tech junkie student. The are the ones that design and write machining programs, use their creativity and thoughts in developing landscape plans. New this year could be the introduction of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles.(Drones) What are their beneficial uses and how they can be a part of it. It also opens a new area of what can be some of the downfalls, and what are acceptable uses and what are not. We can tie this into a wide array of classes, form social studies to business law. There aren't even laws written yet for some of this and students can think about this now and could possibly being the ones in the future that will have to decide what is proper and what is not. Don Nash- I am so glad our kids have agriculture in our school. Besides computers/technology what business has changed more than farming the past 25 years. There is 90 millionaires in our are of the state. Yup,they are all farmers. There is always going to be landscapers and know probably drone flyers. Anything we can do to open agricultural fields to our students I am all for it.
